Cannatektum
CANNATEKTUM habitat and materials Science S.L., created by the German architect Dr. Monika Brümmer, plans and directs works of ecological and bioclimatic architecture for private or public use, restoration of vernacular and listed architecture and rehabilitation of troglodyte dwellings.
The CANNATEKTUM team, made up of architects from different generations, offers a package of services based on decades of professional experience and contemporary design tools.
All the architectural design work we carry out is customized, so that we obtain a tailor-made result, adapted to the needs of the clients with whom we work and the physical and climatic environment in which the work is located.
In CANNATEKTUM we are experts of hemp-building with 28 years of trajectory and 25 years of manufacture and trade of hemp building materials and related. With our CANNABRIC hemp-earth block, the first of these characteristics worldwide, hundreds of houses have been built and rehabilitated in Spain since 1999.
Given the difficulty of having wide access to natural building materials, we complement our services in architecture and materials science with a selection of products for construction and natural home.
Because of our experience in rehabilitation and new construction with natural materials and also local resources, we offer complementary consulting services to open the way to their correct use in each case.
Our knowledge of plant building materials is based on decades of practical and scientific training in the field of hemp materials and plant-based concretes and composites.
Forestry and agricultural construction materials stand out for their complementary physical capabilities to traditional ones and great potential to reverse climate change.

Inventor and manufacturer of Cannabric for 25 years (1999-2024), the world’s unprecedented load-bearing and self-supporting hemp block, with hundreds of houses built/restored in Spain.
First reference for hemp construction in Spain, promoting it since 1997 in the country and internationally.
Creator of the first biomaterials trade for construction in Andalusia (1999).
Hostess of the II International Symposium on Hemp Construction of the IHBA (Granada and Guadix, 2011).
Hostess of Canapalea (Guadix 2017), for the international diffusion of construction with hemp-earth.
Militant since 2013 for the legalization and valorization of landrace hemp in the historical region of its cultivation in Morocco and co-founder of the cooperatives Adrar Nouh (2017) and Amgud Sativa (2024).
